Editorial & Publication Policies
1. Curation Philosophy: The “Impactful 5”
Our primary mission is to solve the “noise” problem in modern news. We provide a curated selection of the five most significant news developments every two hours.
- Definition of Impact: We define “impactful” news as stories that possess high Actionability (information that requires a change in strategy or decision-making), Structural Shift (changes in regulation, technology, or markets), or High Delta (significant new information since the previous cycle).
- Selection Process: Stories are identified using a proprietary Confidence Score that evaluates source authority, cross-platform verification, and topical relevance.
2. Transparency & Accountability
We believe readers should know exactly who is providing their information.
- Authorship: Every news summary includes a clear byline. While our “Agentic AI” assists in classification and summarization, final editorial oversight is provided by our lead technical team.
- Ownership: [Your Company Name/Pop Inc] is the parent entity of this publication. We are an independent organization focused on AI-driven information services.
- Contact Information: For editorial inquiries, corrections, or technical feedback, please contact us at [Your Email Address].
3. AI Disclosure & Ethics
As a technology-forward publication, we use Artificial Intelligence responsibly:
- AI-Assisted Curation: AI is used to filter out noise, opinions, and promotional content (“deals”) to ensure only hard news reaches the final selection.
- Fact Verification: Our AI models are programmed to prioritize sources with a proven track record of accuracy. We do not use AI to “generate” news, only to summarize and categorize existing verified reporting.
- No Hallucinations: We maintain a “Source First” policy. If a story cannot be verified across multiple reputable outlets, it is excluded from our “Impactful 5.”
4. Content Integrity & Standards
- Originality: While we are an aggregator, we provide unique value through curation, synthesis, and “Impact Scoring.” We do not engage in “thin content” or simple RSS mirroring.
- Corrections: If an error is identified in our automated summaries, we aim to correct it within the next 2-hour refresh cycle.
- Non-Discrimination: Our algorithms are designed to be neutral. We filter news based on impact and data, not political or ideological leanings.
5. Revenue & Monetization Disclosure
- Reader Revenue: We utilize Google’s Reader Revenue Manager to offer voluntary contributions and newsletter subscriptions. This support allows us to keep our curation algorithm independent and ad-light.
- Sponsored Content: Any sponsored content or affiliate links will be clearly labeled. We do not allow advertisers to influence our “Impactful 5” selection logic.
