Nintendo has recently launched the Nintendo Store app, making it easier for fans to access the eShop on their iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Originally known as the ‘My Nintendo’ app in Japan, this release marks a significant expansion of the app’s availability to regions like the US, UK, Canada, and most of Europe.
The Nintendo Store app enables users to browse and purchase a variety of products, including Switch consoles, hardware accessories, physical and digital games, and Nintendo merchandise. While purchases are completed through the device’s web browser rather than within the app itself, the app offers a more streamlined and convenient way to explore the Nintendo eShop.
To access certain features within the app, such as checking gaming activity history, users need a Nintendo account and network ID. This feature allows users to view their gameplay data across different Nintendo consoles like Switch, Switch 2, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U. Additionally, users can receive push notifications for wish list items on sale and stay updated on the latest Nintendo games and events through the news feed.
Furthermore, by using the Nintendo Store app to check in at official Nintendo stores and events, users can earn rewards. This app joins other destination apps like Nintendo Music and Nintendo Today in Nintendo’s suite of services.
