Spotify has launched a new feature called ‘listening stats’ that provides users with a weekly summary of their recent music streaming habits. This feature, similar to Spotify’s popular annual ‘Wrapped’ feature, showcases the top artists and songs users have been enjoying each week, along with creating personalized playlists based on these preferences. The listening stats feature is designed to offer a concise recap of users’ music choices and will be accessible for four weeks.
Like the ‘Wrapped’ feature, users can share their weekly listening stats on social platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp. Additionally, Spotify includes a special highlight section that captures the uniqueness of users’ listening habits, featuring new artist discoveries, memorable fan moments, and noteworthy milestones. Available to both free and premium users across more than 60 regions worldwide, this new feature can be accessed through the user profile menu.
This move by Spotify aligns with Apple’s introduction of a monthly version of Apple Music’s annual ‘Replay’ feature, which was later integrated into the app experience with iOS 26. While the weekly listening stats offer a more concise overview compared to Spotify’s yearly ‘Wrapped’ experience, it provides users with a convenient way to stay updated on their recent music preferences.
