LG has announced the upcoming release of the Micro RGB evo TV in 2026, marking the company’s entry into the RGB TV market. This move follows the industry trend, with CES 2026 expected to showcase a range of RGB TVs from various manufacturers.
The Micro RGB evo TV will be available in 100-, 86-, and 75-inch sizes, featuring LG’s advanced Alpha 11 processor, known for its performance in high-end OLED displays. Certified by Intertek, the TV boasts 100 percent gamut coverage of BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB color gamuts, promising an immersive visual experience.
Unlike microLED technology, which uses microscopic LEDs for each pixel, LG’s micro RGB technology employs clusters of red, green, and blue LEDs to illuminate multiple pixels. This distinction sets the stage for a new era in TV display technology, offering enhanced brightness and color accuracy.
With competitors like Samsung, Hisense, Sony, and TCL also preparing to launch their own RGB TVs, the industry is witnessing a significant shift towards this innovative display technology. As consumer demand for richer colors and sharper contrasts continues to grow, the introduction of the LG Micro RGB evo TV marks a milestone in the evolution of television technology.
