Intel has announced its latest high-performance gaming desktop processors, the Core Ultra 270K Plus and 250K Plus. The company claims these new chips are the fastest gaming processors it has ever produced.
The 24-core, 5.5GHz turbo Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is priced at $300 and promises improved gaming performance compared to previous Intel processors, as well as competitive productivity performance against AMD’s Ryzen 7 9700X. The Core Ultra 250K Plus, priced at $200, also offers significantly better multicore performance than its AMD counterpart.
While specific gaming performance improvements are not detailed compared to previous flagship chips, Intel emphasizes the advancements over its immediate predecessors, showcasing gains of up to 39% in certain games.
