In a recent blog post, OpenAI highlighted the accelerated growth in subscriber numbers at the beginning of the year, anticipating January and February to be record-breaking months for new subscribers. The latest figure of 900 million weekly active users represents a notable increase of 100 million users from the previous count of 800 million reported in October 2025. OpenAI unveiled these statistics alongside the announcement of securing $110 billion in private funding, marking one of the largest funding rounds to date. Amazon, Nvidia, and SoftBank have made substantial investments, contributing to a pre-money valuation of $730 billion.
