OpenAI’s ChatGPT has introduced a new feature that offers users a personalized ‘Year in Review,’ showcasing statistics such as message counts and generating AI-created pixel art images based on past conversations. The feature aims to provide users with a unique reflection of their interactions with the chatbot throughout 2025.
Users can expect to see a variety of personalized insights, including prevalent chat themes, chat style descriptions, busiest messaging day, and an ‘archetype’ categorization based on app usage patterns. These summaries offer an engaging way to revisit memorable moments and topics discussed with ChatGPT.
The AI-generated pixel art images, such as the one depicting an aquarium, game cartridge, Instant Pot, and computer screen, serve as visual representations of the diverse topics users engage with, from retro gaming to cooking and more.
This personalized recap feature is currently available to users in select regions, including the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. To access their ‘Year in Review,’ users need to grant ChatGPT permission to review past conversations and preferences, either through the app’s homepage or by requesting the summary directly.
