After a lengthy five-month wait, customers who ordered the $1,200 bottles of Besties All-In tequila are finally seeing shipments commence. The delay, attributed to the intricate handcrafted design of the unique bottle, underscores the challenges in delivering high-end consumer products efficiently.
Originally launched by the hosts of the ‘All-In’ podcast at a sold-out event last June, the 750 bottles of premium tequila quickly sold out. However, fulfilling orders became a prolonged process due to the time-consuming creation of the distinctive bottle, resembling illuminated poker chips, which pays homage to the hosts’ affinity for poker.
Despite initial promises of end-of-summer deliveries, customers faced repeated delays, with shifting timelines communicated by both the product’s website and the distributor, Flaviar. From postponed delivery dates in October and November to the latest vague estimate of ‘after November,’ the logistics of distributing these luxury items proved challenging.
While the exact timeframe for completing all orders remains uncertain, the initiation of shipments offers hope to enthusiasts eagerly anticipating their handcrafted liquor, possibly in time for the holiday season.
