Brynn Putnam, the former CEO of the connected fitness startup Mirror, has launched a new tech-powered gaming device called Board. This innovative product merges traditional board games with video game elements, offering a unique gaming experience that blends physical and digital interactions.
After Lululemon acquired Mirror in 2020, Putnam unveiled Board at the TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 conference in San Francisco. The 24-inch screen device, resembling a board game setup, can accommodate four to six players simultaneously. It features a touch-sensitive screen that can detect gestures and physical game pieces, creating an engaging and interactive gameplay environment.
Board comes with an initial set of 12 games and 50 game pieces, catering to a variety of gaming preferences. Putnam also hinted at the integration of AI capabilities to personalize the gaming experience for users over time, enhancing the device’s adaptability and user engagement.
