Google TV has introduced new Gemini-powered features aimed at enhancing user interaction and engagement. These additions include AI-powered visual responses, in-depth explorations of various topics, and narrated sports updates for fans.
One key feature is the introduction of visual responses. Users can now receive live scorecards and game viewing information for sports events like the Warriors game. Additionally, requesting recipes will prompt the system to provide relevant video tutorials along with the search results.
Another feature, ‘deep dives,’ enables users to explore complex subjects in detail. By selecting ‘Dive deeper’ in response options or accessing the Gemini tab on the home screen, users can access narrated visual breakdowns on topics spanning health, economics, technology, and more.
For sports enthusiasts, Google TV now offers ‘sports briefs’ that provide narrated overviews of league events like NBA, NHL, and MLB. This feature allows fans to stay updated on highlights and key updates without watching every live moment.
These Gemini features are currently available in the U.S. and Canada, with plans for expansion to Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K. in the near future.
