Sony has introduced a new 27-inch monitor designed for PlayStation 5 gamers who prefer desk setups, as reported by The Verge. The monitor features a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, HDR support with automatic tone mapping, and variable refresh rates up to 120Hz when paired with the PS5 or PS5 Pro, or up to 240Hz when connected to a Mac or PC.
The monitor offers versatile connectivity options, including two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, USB-C, two USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack, allowing users to connect various devices and accessories, such as the PlayStation Link wireless headphone adapter. A standout feature is the built-in hook that flips down to hold and charge a single PS5 DualSense controller.
While pricing and exact availability details are pending, Sony plans to launch the PlayStation 27-inch Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook in the US and Japan in 2026. This new monitor follows Sony’s earlier console display for the PS3, released in 2011, which featured a 24-inch panel and 3D support.
