Apple has unveiled a new feature in its latest iOS 26.1 beta that allows users to adjust the opacity of Liquid Glass elements, offering a more customizable user experience. According to The Verge, this option was introduced to address legibility issues that arose following the initial release of Liquid Glass at WWDC earlier this year.
With the new setting, users can now choose between a ‘Clear’ or ‘Tinted’ appearance for their Liquid Glass elements. This tweak provides users with the flexibility to make the interface more transparent or frosted based on their preferences, enhancing the overall user experience.
The Liquid Glass tint option can be accessed through Settings > Display & Brightness > Liquid Glass on iOS devices. Additionally, the latest iPadOS 26.1 and macOS 26.1 developer betas also include this feature, enabling users to customize their Liquid Glass experience across Apple devices.
Alongside the tint toggle, Apple has introduced other useful options in the iOS 26.1 beta, such as the ability to disable the camera swipe gesture from the lock screen. This added security feature prevents unauthorized access to the camera, even if someone gains temporary access to the device.
These updates reflect Apple’s commitment to enhancing user control and security within its ecosystem, catering to the evolving needs of tech enthusiasts and iOS users.
