An analysis conducted by Senator Elizabeth Warren’s office has shed light on the significant tax breaks received by major tech companies under President Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’ The findings indicate that Alphabet, the parent company of Google, stands to save approximately $17.9 billion in taxes this year. This amount, as highlighted by Warren’s office, could have funded critical federal programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for millions of Americans.
Similarly, Amazon is expected to benefit substantially from tax breaks, with an estimated $15.7 billion in savings, an amount that could have covered SNAP benefits for 6.6 million Americans. Additionally, Microsoft’s anticipated $12.5 billion tax cut in 2026 could have contributed to lowering Affordable Care Act (ACA) premiums for nearly 2 million individuals.
The analysis underscores the contrast in priorities between the two political parties. While Republicans have focused on tax cuts for corporations and billionaires, Democrats have advocated for supporting American families through essential programs like healthcare and nutrition assistance.
