TikTok, the popular video-sharing platform, has introduced a new feature called ‘Shared Collections’ that allows users to collaborate and organize TikTok content with friends and family. This feature expands on the existing individual Collections, enabling users to create shared spaces for activities like sharing holiday plans, design inspirations, or skill learning. Users can curate content from their favorite creators, home projects, or shared interests in one place for easy access and organization.
Additionally, TikTok has announced the upcoming launch of ‘Shared Feeds,’ which will enable users to watch TikTok content together through interest-based feeds. These feeds will recommend new content based on users’ preferences, including sports, winter activities, and preferred creators. Shared Feeds aim to enhance the collaborative and interactive experience on the platform, allowing users to discover and enjoy content together.
Shared Collections require mutual following to create and can be kept private or shared publicly. This new feature is now available globally for users aged 16 and above. On the horizon, Shared Feeds will further facilitate content discovery and engagement, creating a more social viewing experience on TikTok.
