Aqara has introduced its latest innovation in smart home technology – the B50 smart lock, priced at an affordable $99.99. This wireless smart lock features a backlit keypad and seamless integration with popular virtual assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home. The standout feature of the Aqara B50 is its built-in Wi-Fi capability, eliminating the need for a separate hub.
Users can unlock the device through various methods, including passcodes, voice commands, mobile app control, or traditional keys. The lock also offers flexibility with the option to create one-time, recurring, or permanent PIN codes. An innovative ‘anti-peek’ feature adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to input random digits before and after their actual PIN, protecting against prying eyes.
For monitoring convenience, users can remotely check the lock status and manage PIN codes via the Aqara home app. Additionally, compatibility with Matter platforms like Apple Home enhances its usability by enabling integration with other smart devices through an Aqara Matter hub.
Powered by four AA batteries, the Aqara B50 ensures prolonged usage with a battery life of up to six months. In case of battery depletion, users can easily recharge via the built-in USB-C port or resort to the traditional key entry method.
