Minisforum has announced the AtomMan G1 Pro, a $1,440 mini-PC that serves as an alternative to Valve’s Steam Machines. This compact tower features a desktop-grade Nvidia RTX 5060 GPU, a powerful CPU, and numerous high-speed ports. The G1 Pro competes with Valve’s specifications, offering an integrated power supply and robust components.
The key feature is the inclusion of a diminutive desktop graphics card that delivers the full 145W power typical of standard desktop 5060 cards. In ‘Beast Mode,’ the G1 Pro can efficiently run the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX CPU alongside the 145W GPU. Additionally, the device offers dual M.2 2280 slots for NVMe SSD storage, two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM, and five display outputs for multi-monitor setups.
The G1 Pro is available for $1,440 with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage, expected to ship in mid-January. A barebones version, priced at $1,040 without RAM and storage, will be released soon. While Valve’s pricing remains undisclosed, the G1 Pro impresses with its cooling efficiency, noise control, and mature Linux drivers for the GPU.
