Plaud, a company known for its hardware innovations, has announced the launch of the Plaud NotePin S, an AI-powered notetaker, and a desktop app designed to enhance digital meeting experiences. The announcement comes just ahead of the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
The NotePin S features a physical button for easy recording control and allows users to highlight specific points during meetings, similar to the Plaud Note Pro. Priced at $179, the device comes with various accessories, including a clip, lanyard, magnetic pin, and wristband, offering users flexibility in how they use it. The inclusion of Apple Find My support ensures easy tracking of the device if misplaced.
The AI notetaker boasts 64GB of storage, a 20-hour battery life, and two MEMS microphones for clear audio capture within a 9.8-foot range. Additionally, users receive 300 minutes of transcription per month for free, making it a convenient tool for those always on the move. Despite having a shorter recording range and lower battery life compared to the Note Pro, the compact size of the NotePin S makes it highly portable.
Plaud’s latest offering marks its fourth device release, with a strong focus on enhancing in-person meeting experiences. The company is also introducing a new desktop app aimed at streamlining meeting note-taking processes across various platforms. This app can intelligently detect active meetings and prompt users to capture transcripts seamlessly. By leveraging system audio, the Mac app ensures efficient note-taking during meetings.
