Lucid Motors significantly increased its electric vehicle production in 2025, surpassing the previous year’s output. The company’s growth is attributed to overcoming early manufacturing difficulties with its Gravity SUV.
In 2025, Lucid Motors completed the production of 18,378 EVs, with a notable 55% rise in deliveries compared to 2024, totaling 15,841 vehicles sold. This surge, especially in the fourth quarter with 8,412 EVs produced, indicates a positive trajectory for the company.
The upcoming year holds strategic importance for Lucid Motors as it prepares to commence manufacturing its first mid-sized EV platform vehicle, expected to be priced at around $50,000. This places Lucid in direct competition with popular models like the Tesla Model Y and Rivian R2 SUV.
Despite the progress made in 2025, Lucid Motors fell short of its ambitious 2021 projections, citing challenges in production, supply chain disruptions, and market dynamics impacted by the pandemic. Initially aiming to deliver 135,000 vehicles in 2025, the company faced setbacks, predominantly during the early phase of Gravity SUV production.
Interim CEO Marc Winterhoff acknowledged the software-related issues affecting customer satisfaction and emphasized the company’s dedication to resolving these challenges promptly.
