ElevenLabs has unveiled an album of AI-generated songs as part of its latest effort to address ethical concerns within AI music. The Eleven Album is designed to showcase how artists can leverage AI to enhance their creative spectrum while retaining full authorship and commercial rights, as stated by the company.
The album serves as a promotional platform for ElevenLabs’ Eleven Music generator and Iconic Voices Marketplace, which were introduced last year for commercial purposes. In this project, each artist has crafted an entirely original track blending their distinctive style with the functionalities of Eleven Music, while retaining full ownership of their compositions and receiving 100% of streaming earnings.
Featuring a mix of musical genres and spoken word pieces from 13 artists, including notable names like Liza Minnelli, Art Garfunkel, and Iamsu!, the Eleven Album offers listeners a diverse musical experience. The album can be accessed on Spotify or the ElevenLabs website, inviting audiences to ‘experience the future of sound.’
By engaging directly with artists, ElevenLabs aims to prevent potential revenue losses by mitigating concerns related to unauthorized use of artists’ voices and styles through AI replication. This strategy acknowledges the financial impact on artists when AI-generated music is indistinguishable from human-created content.
