The partnership with Tata Group falls under OpenAI’s Stargate project, focused on constructing AI-ready infrastructure to drive global enterprise adoption. OpenAI will utilize 100 megawatts of Tata Consultancy Services’ HyperVault data center capacity, also integrating ChatGPT Enterprise across Tata’s workforce and standardizing AI-native software development using OpenAI’s tools.
Expanding its footprint in India, OpenAI plans to establish new offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru later this year. This aligns with the company’s aim to engage with India’s expanding market, which boasts over 100 million weekly ChatGPT users across sectors like education, technology, and entrepreneurship.
