Spotify has released an updated version of its Apple TV app, introducing new features to improve the user experience. The revamped app, now available on the Apple App Store, includes video podcasts and music videos, expanding the entertainment options for Spotify Premium subscribers.
The previous version of Spotify’s tvOS app had received user feedback regarding navigation challenges and missing features compared to other platforms. With this update, Spotify aims to address these concerns and provide a more seamless and feature-rich experience.
While the video content feature is currently unavailable in the US and Canada, it can be accessed in 97 other markets by Spotify Premium subscribers. The addition of music videos and podcasts with video capabilities enhances the overall content offering, providing users with a more immersive listening experience.
Furthermore, the new Spotify app for Apple TV includes a karaoke-like feature that displays song lyrics, further enhancing the interactive aspect of music playback. Video podcasts will also offer playback speed adjustment options, catering to diverse user preferences.
Spotify’s collaboration with Netflix and The Ringer to bring video podcast series to the streaming platform underscores the company’s efforts to expand its content portfolio and engage users in innovative ways.
