Microsoft is addressing user feedback by reintroducing the ability to move the Windows taskbar in Windows 11. The movable taskbar, which can now be positioned at the top or sides of the screen, aims to enhance workspace customization and user experience.
According to Windows chief Pavan Davuluri, repositioning the taskbar is one of the top requests the company has received from users. This change comes as part of broader updates planned for Windows 11 in response to criticisms regarding performance and reliability.
Initially removed in the Windows 11 launch, the movable taskbar will be reintroduced to Windows Insiders soon, with a wider rollout expected later this year. Additionally, Microsoft is developing a smaller taskbar option to provide users with more flexibility.
Microsoft’s decision to bring back familiar features from Windows 10, such as the movable taskbar and an agenda calendar view, reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing the Windows 11 user experience.
