Granola, a meeting note-taking app that has expanded into enterprise AI solutions, recently closed a $125 million Series C funding round, boosting its valuation to $1.5 billion. The funding, led by Index Ventures and Kleiner Perkins, marks a significant milestone for the company, which previously stood at a $250 million valuation. Granola’s transition from a consumer-focused app to an enterprise-oriented platform has attracted investment from both new and existing backers, including Lightspeed, Spark, and NFDG.
Recognizing the evolving landscape of AI-powered meeting transcription tools, Granola has expanded its offerings to include new features tailored for team collaboration within enterprises. Its client base now includes prominent companies like Vanta, Gusto, and Asana, highlighting the growing adoption of its services in corporate environments.
One key addition, Spaces, introduces customizable workspaces for teams, along with enhanced note organization capabilities through Folders. Granola’s strategic move also involves launching two new APIs aimed at integrating meeting notes into AI workflows effectively. The introduction of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and the personal and enterprise APIs demonstrates Granola’s commitment to enhancing user experiences and providing seamless integration with existing enterprise systems.
