ByteDance has announced the launch of its latest AI video generation model, Dreamina Seedance 2.0, on the popular editing platform, CapCut. This new model allows creators to easily create and synchronize video and audio content using prompts, images, or reference videos. The model is initially available in select markets, including Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, with plans for global expansion.
The introduction of Dreamina Seedance 2.0 in CapCut comes after ByteDance faced criticism for alleged copyright infringement issues. To address these concerns, the model now includes built-in protections to prevent the unauthorized use of real faces or intellectual property in videos created through the platform. Additionally, the AI model excels at rendering lifelike textures, movements, and lighting from different visual perspectives, enhancing the editing capabilities of content creators.
Creators using CapCut can leverage Dreamina Seedance 2.0 for a variety of content types, including cooking tutorials, fitness videos, business presentations, and action-focused clips. The model supports clips of up to 15 seconds in length across six aspect ratios, providing flexibility for diverse editing needs.
With this latest AI innovation, ByteDance aims to empower creators with advanced video editing tools while ensuring intellectual property rights are respected within the platform.
