Anthropic expanded Claude’s app integration capabilities in April 2026, adding connectors for a range of personal apps including Spotify, Uber, Audible, AllTrails, TripAdvisor, Instacart, and TurboTax. The new connectors are available immediately across all Claude subscription plans.
The expansion builds on Claude’s existing support for work-focused app connections, such as Microsoft apps, by shifting attention to everyday consumer services. Once a personal app is connected, Claude will suggest relevant apps within conversations — for example, recommending AllTrails results when a user asks about hiking.
Anthropic addressed privacy and commercial concerns in its announcement. The company stated that data from connected apps is not used to train its models, that connected apps cannot access a user’s other Claude conversations, and that users can disconnect any app at any time. Anthropic also said there are no paid placements or sponsored answers in Claude conversations. When multiple apps are relevant to a query, Claude will display results from each, ranked by usefulness. Before taking actions such as completing a purchase or booking a reservation through a connected app, Claude will ask users to confirm.
Some of the newly supported apps, including Spotify, already offer similar connectors through OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Users can browse and add connectors by selecting “connectors” under the “customize” tab in the Claude sidebar.
