Airbnb, known for its accommodation services, is now expanding its offerings to include private car booking services in collaboration with Welcome Pickups. This new feature allows users to book a private car in over 125 cities worldwide, such as Paris, Bali, and Mexico City. The partnership aims to enhance guests’ experiences by providing a seamless travel solution from the moment they arrive at their destination.
The Airbnb app’s ‘Trips’ tab will now include an option to schedule a private car to the listing, offering convenience and ease of transportation for users. According to Airbnb, the pilot program conducted in Europe and Asia received positive feedback, with an average rating of 4.96 from thousands of guests.
Airbnb’s Chief Business Officer, Dave Stephenson, highlighted the company’s commitment to improving guest experiences through these additional services. The expansion of the car booking service is part of Airbnb’s strategy to offer a comprehensive range of service options, complementing its existing categories, such as experiences and partnerships for groceries and hotel bookings.
